What can I do to get rid of psoriasis?

I am a 43 year old male who has developed psoraisis over the last six months. The creams I have got from my doctor have not helped. Any ideas?

The main thing to know is that there are many different treatments, and the trick is to find the one that helps you. I suggest you check out other similar questions on Answers for details on the type of diet you should follow, etc.

Your doctor will only prescribe some creams for you to use. I think I must have tried them all over the years, with little effect. For many years my only respite was during the summer when I could get a tan (exposure to the sun is good, in small doses). (And whatever you do, steer away from steriod creams.)

However, I recently heard the the Dead Sea is the place to go as the salt in the sea is supposed to work wonders. I wandered into my local health shop, and noticed that they sell Dead Sea Salt, so I bought some, washed with it for three days, and my condition improved immensely. Now I simply use it as part of my daily routine.

You will probably never completely get rid of it, but you can certainly keep it under control.
