A question about my wife’s pregnancy?

Last year my wife was pregnant and she miscarried the baby while she was performing stretching exercises. She is now 13 weeks pregnant and we do not want to lose this child like we lost the first one. This will be our first child. My wife is 28 years old and she has heart problems, severe asthma, frequent dizzy spells and she has psoriasis to where the sun affects her even if she is outside for only a short period of time. Recently her parents told her that she needs to start walking because it is good for the baby to get exercise because the baby will start to stick to her in one place. I don’t think that’s a good idea because I’m afraid that if she does too much we will end up losing this child like we did the last one. Also the clinic where she goes to told her she needs to get plenty of rest and stay off her feet as much as possible. So am I right or are her parents right? Should she be walking more or does she need to rest more?

Listen to the doctors – your wife should relax, rest and take things easy! The baby will not ‘stick to her in one place’. You are right, encourage her to rest more. Good luck with everything x.
