Psoriasis Raptiva

Taking Methotrexate and Raptiva and have bad symptoms?
I took methotrexate and Raptiva weekly for 3 weeks for my psoriasis and the first week i got the flu-like symptoms, muscle pain, fever, chills, they're gone in a few days. The second week I had headaches bad … they went in 3-4 days. The third week I have a dagger stabbing pain in my left rib cage and it feels difficulty breathing. The pain has also progressed in my left shoulder. I take Tylenol for pain, but once it disappears as it hurts …. Hockey double sticks! Is this normal? I'm a big girl i might add …. I may have slept wrrong and a pulled muscle? any help would be appreciated!
No, this is methotrexate. Methotrexate is one of those drugs for which you do not know what is worst of the disease or healing. Methotrexate is a chemotherapeutic agent to treat the original cancer, so when we think about all the nasty side effects of chemotherapy, which is methotrexate. Now it's probably exaggerated the situation, but essentially true. It is used in a lower dosage and schedule more casual for psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis than it was for the chemo, if side effects are milder and less frequent, but still there. Also, you should take some folic acid on your days non-methotrexate. flu-like symptoms are seen in almost 100% of people who take it. Headache is also very common. I would be concerned about the pain in the chest and shoulder. The drug can cause plueritis and carditis. You should consult your doctor ASAP.
