moisturizing hair – dry flaking scalp?

I'm in Arizona and is usually super dry here. My scalp is tooooooootally flaking – not really dandruff is just dry skin to drop. Different dermatologists have suggested Seborrhic dermatitis and psoriasis, but I'm not convinced it is one of them as prescription drugs do work to control the condition. The oxide zinc (Head & Shoulders), tea tree oil, tar and salicylic acid (T / Gel), ketoconazole (Nizoral) shampoos do not work either. Drenching my hair in olive oil works, but the hair begins snow now, I wash my hair. I need something that will keep my scalp moisturized without making it greasy, especially when I work out. Everything else worked decisively to you?

I have this very problem … If you shampoo your hair every day – stop. Try reducing the wash more than twice a week, the shampoo itself is very hard and dry on the scalp (I wash once a week and wash and condition once the meantime). In addition, switch to a shampoo designed for dry hair – they are softer and not dry your scalp as much. Avoid shampoo or conditioner that seems worse – Personally, I found Pantene makes my scalp absolutely revolting.
